This shot shows Angela's cut, which is a long shag. We left layers long in the crown while removing as much bulk as possible in the lower layers. This was done carefully to preserve a strong outline.
Angela had both a cut and a color. The color used this time was Elumen in a rich golden brown, applied to large sections to create depth, contrast, and a bolder effect than the highlights by themselves.
I think Angela looks just as great in her glasses, so I included this shot.
Brittany requested an edgy fashion look using pink and black.
I used Elumen to achieve the vibrant pink shade on her ends. The bottom layer of her hair is tipped in black.
Brittany wanted the pink to be extra bright on the hair framing her face. Not everyone can carry this color combination, but Brittany carries it like she was born with it.
Side profile.
Remember Liza in Cabaret? Barbara's fringe is cut similarly , with a point in the center. Her vibrant red color is retouched with Igora at the roots to lighten her medium brown hair, while the ends are balanced with elumen to provide an amazing and durable red that holds it's color for months with very little fading.
Allison's haircut is about 3 months old in these photos, but we wanted to capture her color before losing the natural light. There are several shots to illustrate how different the color looks as her hair moves.
The coloring technique I used with Allison allows for very light color accents on dark hair, but Allison won't have to worry about dark roots due to precise color placement.
Allison's roots are not colored; the color is placed below her parting which created a dynamic effect as her hair moves.
