While I love elumen, it can't color and lighten the hair at the same time, and isn't always the best choice for gray coverage. Igora Royal from Schwarzkopf Professional is my all-around permanent color of choice. With the lowest ammonia content of any permanent haircolor, it is unsurpassed with it's combination of durability and gentleness to the hair, incredible shine, and vibrant color.
